We're looking for a mid-career or senior researcher with solid software engineering skills to take the lead on the tools that make Interspeech proceedings possible. If you enjoy building good software and want to shape how our community's research gets published, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

• Build and lead a small team of helpers to maintain and develop the tool suite
• Train and coordinate each year's Interspeech publication team in using the tools
• Work with the ISCA Scientific Coordinator to keep the data structure consistent and extend it across Interspeech editions
• Work with the ISCA Archivist so the ISCA Archive runs on the ISCA library, which will streamline the whole publication process

Why it matters

Since 2023, ISCA has handled the Interspeech publication process itself. That means reconciling CMT metadata with the submitted PDFs, gathering material for the abstract book, and preparing the proceedings for the ISCA Archive. To make this manageable, we've built a tool suite with three parts:

• ISCA library: the shared software foundation
• Interspeech tools: generate the abstract book, the archive package, and other conference outputs
• Validation UI: lets the publication team fix metadata quickly

The toolkit works. Now it needs someone to keep it working in the long term and help it grow.
